Harold L. Stewart III, also known as "Trey," is an incumbent Republican State Senator from Presque Isle, Maine, representing District 2. He first joined the Maine Senate in 2020 after serving in the Maine House of Representatives from 2016-2020, where he was Assistant Minority Leader. Currently, he serves as the Senate Minority Leader. Stewart is a U.S. Navy reservist and a lawyer, having earned degrees from the University of Maine and its School of Law. He champions funding for vocational programs, opposes green subsidies driving up prices, and advocates for responsible use of tax dollars. He is a candidate for re-election to the Maine State Senate in the 2026 Primary Election.
