Harry Steinmetz has served on the Des Moines City Council since January 2022 and was selected as Deputy Mayor in 2023. His professional background is in law, having worked as an Administrative Law Judge, a private attorney, and a small business owner. He holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.A. from San Diego State University. He has served on several council committees, including Public Safety & Emergency Management, Transportation, and Economic Development.
