Heather Fletcher, a resident of Point of Rocks, Maryland, for over 16 years, is a mother of three school-aged children. She was a non-partisan candidate for an at-large seat on the Frederick County Board of Education in 2022 and ran again as a write-in candidate in the November 5, 2024, general election. Fletcher holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from the University of North Dakota and formerly worked as an Air Traffic Controller. After leaving her career to become a homemaker, she has been actively involved in her children's education, navigating public school, homeschool, and private school settings. This direct experience has provided her with a comprehensive perspective on different educational models and challenges.
