Heather Meyer

Heather Meyer is an American politician serving as an incumbent member of the Kansas House of Representatives for the 29th district, a position she assumed on September 7, 2021. A Democrat, she also works professionally as a social worker and mental health clinician. Born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1980, she holds degrees from Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas. Throughout her tenure, Meyer has served on several key House Committees, including Health & Human Services, Elections, Insurance, and Water, and was the Ranking Minority Member for Welfare Reform. She has advocated for legislation such as a sales tax exemption for feminine hygiene products and diapers. She is a mother of two.
