Heather Rhyne was born in Cherryville, North Carolina, and has resided in Lincoln County for over two decades. She earned a pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998 and works as a licensed pharmacist. Prior to her appointment to the NC House of Representatives, Rhyne served on the Lincoln County Board of Education for eight years, including three years as Chairwoman. She was appointed to the North Carolina House of Representatives for District 97 on August 19, 2024, to fill a vacancy.
