Heather Stephenson

Heather Stephenson is a native Iowan, raised on a Carroll County farm, now living in Ankeny with her husband and three children. A first-generation college student, she holds multiple degrees, including a doctorate. Her public service experience includes working in Iowa’s child welfare and juvenile justice system, managing budgets and overseeing programs, and volunteering with the Polk County Foster Care Review Board. Stephenson advocates for individual and property rights, parental empowerment in education and healthcare decisions, and pro-life policies. She previously ran for Iowa House District 42 in 2024, winning the Republican primary but ultimately losing the general election. She is currently a candidate in the Republican primary for Iowa House of Representatives District 42 in 2026.
