Hoang Nguyen

Hoang Nguyen is an incumbent Democratic member of the Utah House of Representatives for District 23, having assumed office in January 2025 and currently seeking re-election in 2026. She advanced from the Democratic primary. Professionally, Nguyen is the Managing Partner of Sapa Investments and CEO of Dragonfly Wellness, a medical cannabis company in Utah. Her leadership, inspired by a lineage of female entrepreneurs, prioritizes empowering individuals. She chairs the Midtown Business District Board in downtown Salt Lake City and serves on various other boards, including the Utah Cannabis Association. In the legislature, she focuses on natural resources, business, and taxation, sponsoring bills on carbon dioxide systems, water, artificial turf, school vision, and child care tax credits.
