Hollie Huthman has served on the Bellingham City Council since 2019, first in an at-large position and now representing Ward 2. She is the current Council President. Huthman graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelor's degree in sociology with an emphasis in criminology. For over 14 years, she has been the co-owner of The Shakedown, a downtown live music venue. She has served on several boards, including the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, Sustainable Connections, and Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA). In 2022, she became the first Bellingham City Council member to have a child while in office.
