Hope S. Beard

Hope S. Beard, born in Augusta, Georgia, is a Democratic candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 123, in the 2026 primary election. A business owner and licensed therapist, she currently leads House of Hope Counseling Services. Her campaign focuses on fighting for Education & Safety, Medicaid Expansion, and Mental Health, with a specific emphasis on rural areas. She is also a proponent of Congressional term limits. Beard earned a bachelor's degree from Paine College in 2003 and a graduate degree from Troy University in 2007. She is affiliated with First Baptist Church in Lincolnton, the Georgia Professional Counselors Association, and other community organizations.
