Dr. Ida S. Obeso-Martinez is a cardiovascular nurse practitioner and the Mayor of Imperial, California. She holds an Associate's degree from Imperial Valley College, a Bachelor's from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona. She has over 20 years of experience as an emergency room and intensive care nurse in Imperial Valley hospitals. Elected to the Imperial City Council in 2022, she is running for California State Assembly District 36.
