Irene Wrenner is a former Vermont State Senator who represented the Chittenden North District from January 2023 to January 2025. She was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, graduated from Phillipsburg High School, and earned a B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University in 1986. Her career has spanned communication, human resources, and information technology, and she started her own business. Before serving in the Senate, she served on the Town of Essex Selectboard and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission, where she focused on local government transparency, taxation, and fair representation.
