Jonathan "J. B." Bartlett Jennings is a Republican State Senator for Maryland's 7th Legislative District, which covers parts of Baltimore and Harford counties. First elected to the Maryland State Senate in 2011, he previously served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2003 to 2011. Jennings also held the position of Senate Minority Leader from 2014 to 2020. A graduate of the University of Baltimore with a degree in business administration, his professional background includes farming and co-owning The Mill of Hereford. His public service extends to serving in the Maryland Air National Guard and as a long-time volunteer firefighter and EMT. Jennings and his wife, Michelle, have two children.
