J David Weeks

J. David Weeks, born September 24, 1953, is an incumbent Democratic member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 51 (Sumter County), serving since 2000. An attorney residing in Sumter, he holds degrees from Morris College (B.A.), University of South Carolina (J.D.), and Howard University (M.Ed.). Married with two children, Weeks previously served as a Municipal Court Judge. His legislative roles include the House Judiciary Committee, chairing the Legislative Black Caucus, and currently Vice Chair of the Ethics Committee and a member of the Ways and Means Committee. He is running for re-election to continue his dedicated service and foster positive change for Sumter citizens.
