Jacqui Irwin is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the California State Assembly, currently representing the 42nd district. First elected to the Assembly in 2014, she previously served as a city councilmember and two-term mayor of Thousand Oaks. Irwin earned a degree in systems engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and worked as a systems engineer at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab and Teledyne before entering politics.
