James "Jim" Crews served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 to 1982 as a nuclear machinist's mate on submarines. He later worked at a power plant in Phoenix, Arizona, until 1994 and has also been a firearms instructor. He previously served as a Stevensville council member and council president in 2014 and was appointed Mayor in 2016, serving until 2018.
