James F Dill

James F. Dill is an American entomologist, professor, and Democratic politician representing Maine House District 26. Elected to the Maine Legislature in 2010, he has served multiple terms in both the House and Senate, holding his current House seat since December 2022. Dill is running for re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary. Professionally, he is a renowned pest management specialist and professor at the University of Maine, pioneering integrated pest management (IPM). He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in entomology. Married with three children and six grandchildren, he is active in school boards and Kiwanis, with legislative interests in Elections, Agriculture, and Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
