James 'Jimmy' Greene Jr. was elected to the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education for Seat 4 in November 2022. He has been a coach within the school system for over 12 years. Greene has also served on the board at Smart Start Rowan, an agency focused on early childhood education, and as a board member at Partners in Learning. He is the president of the West Rowan High School Boosters Club and serves on the board of trustees at Christ United Methodist Church. His father, Jim Greene, is a Rowan County Commissioner.
