James Hirschfeld has been a resident of Mountain Lakes since 2003. He is a practicing ophthalmologist at Lakeland Ophthalmology, which he founded in 2004. He earned an AB in Economics from Brown University and an MD from NYU School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He has served on the boards of the Morris County Medical Society, the Lake Drive Foundation, and the Medical Needs Foundation. He and his wife have three daughters who have attended Mountain Lakes schools.
