James Kelly Somers

James "J.K." Somers has been a resident of the Oak Island area for over 40 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, a graduate degree from Campbell University Divinity School, and his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law. His legal practice areas include family law, wills, trusts, estate planning, criminal defense, business formation, and contract law. Somers has a history of community involvement, having served as a Town Councilman for Oak Island, a volunteer fireman, and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. His family has also been active in local government.
