James Matthew Hatchett

James Matthew Hatchett, known as Matt Hatchett, is a Republican politician from Georgia. Born in Dublin, Georgia, on April 12, 1966, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Presbyterian College in 1988. Hatchett served as a city councilman for Dublin from 1999 to 2009 before being elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, where he has been an incumbent since January 2011. He represents District 155 and currently serves as the Majority Caucus Chairman. A small business owner, he sits on key committees including Appropriations, Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, and Health & Human Services.
