A lifelong resident of Johnstown, Rigby served his community as a volunteer firefighter and police officer, eventually becoming the chief of police in Ferndale Borough in 2015. He also served on the Ferndale Borough Council for 24 years. In the state legislature, he has focused on criminal justice and community issues.
