James Roberson is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 39 since January 2021. Before his legislative career, he served as the Mayor of Knightdale from 2015 to 2021 and was a member of the Knightdale Town Council for two terms starting in 2007. Roberson's career also includes over three decades at Wake Technical Community College, where he retired as the Senior Dean and Chief Campus Officer of the Western Wake Campus in 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Shaw University and a Master of Library Science degree from North Carolina Central University.
