James Tolomeo Jr. is an incumbent Republican Councilman for River Vale Township in New Jersey. He previously ran for election to the River Vale Township Council in 2022 and was sworn in as a Councilman in January 2023. Prior to his council service, he had an extensive record serving River Vale on numerous local boards, and also served as the Mayor's Designee to the Library Board of Trustees for a term expiring at the end of 2023. He is noted for his deliberative talents and commitment to public service, contributing to the Township's goals of preserving open space and providing recreational opportunities for residents. He is currently running unopposed in the Republican primary for a council seat.
