Her career as a prosecutor began in 2008 in Mecklenburg County, and she later served as an assistant district attorney in Catawba, Burke, and Caldwell counties. Adams earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
