Jana Seng is a candidate for Judge of the Superior Court Office No. 7 in Los Angeles County, California — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Jana Seng was appointed as a Judge to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County by Governor Jerry Brown in 2018, becoming the first Cambodian-American judge in California. She currently serves as an Assistant Supervising Judge of the Criminal Division. Prior to her appointment, she was a head deputy at the Los Angeles County Alternate Public Defender's Office, where she began as a deputy alternate public defender in 2005. She also served as a deputy public defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office from 2002 to 2005. Judge Seng earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington, School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach. Born just before the Khmer Rouge takeover in Cambodia, her family was forced into a slave labor camp, an experience that has shaped her perspective on the rule of law.
