Janine Ledford

Janine Ledford is a member of the Makah Indian Tribe and has served as the Executive Director of the Makah Cultural and Research Center (MCRC) since 1995. In her role, she works to protect the cultural traditions and important sites of the Makah Tribe. She is also the appointed Makah Tribal Historic Preservation Officer. Ledford is an incumbent on the Cape Flattery School District board, where she has served as chairperson. Additionally, she serves on the Makah Tribe's Higher Education Committee and has been a member of the Burke Museum Advisory Board and the Governor's Advisory Council for Historic Preservation. She is a mother of four children.
