Drew Echols is an incumbent Republican State Senator for Georgia's 49th District, representing a large portion of Hall County. Sworn in on January 13, 2025, he also holds the position of a Governor’s Administration Floor Leader. A farmer by profession, Senator Echols is actively involved in legislative efforts. He recently partnered to reestablish the Lake Lanier Caucus, addressing pressing taste and odor issues in Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee River. He has also chaired the Senate Appropriations Committee and served as Secretary for Economic Development and Tourism, focusing on statewide tourism initiatives to boost economic development, support small businesses, and improve quality of life. Echols is seeking re-election in the 2026 Georgia Primary Election.
