Jarod Dwayne Fox is a physician and infectious disease specialist who was the Democratic nominee for Florida House of Representatives District 39 in the 2026 primary. Born in a small town in Texas and raised in South Carolina, he earned an undergraduate degree in Biology and attended St. George's University's medical school, completing clinical rotations in New York, New Jersey, and Miami. He completed an internal medicine residency in Savannah, Georgia, and a two-year infectious disease fellowship at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and has served in departmental leadership at Orlando Health since 2017. He treats a broad range of infectious diseases, including pneumonia, viral infections, HIV, and hepatitis C, and helped lead Orlando Health's coordinated COVID-19 pandemic response. He lives in Winter Garden with his wife April, a primary care physician, and their three children, who attend Orange County Public Schools; the family are active members of Mosaic Church.
