Jasmine Zavala

Jasmine Zavala grew up in Wake Forest after her family moved there when she was five. She is a first-generation American, with a father from Mexico and a mother from El Salvador. She attended Wake Forest elementary, middle, and high schools. Zavala earned a bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from Meredith College and a Master's in Public Administration from UNC Wilmington. Her career includes being an elementary school teacher for at-risk youth with Teach for America, a policy analyst at the federal level, and a manager for her family's local small business, Los Tres Magueyes.
