Jason Dawkins is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 179th District in Philadelphia since 2014. He currently serves as the Majority Chairman of the House Labor and Industry Committee. Prior to his election, Dawkins spent seven years working as a legislative aide for Philadelphia City Councilwoman Maria D. Quiñones-Sánchez. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus and chaired the Philadelphia House Delegation from 2019 to 2022.
