Jason R. Anavitarte is the incumbent Georgia State Senate Majority Leader, representing the 31st District, which includes Polk and Paulding counties. Elected to the Senate in 2021, he became Majority Leader in June 2025, previously serving as Majority Caucus Chair. Anavitarte is a former Doraville City Council member and Paulding County Board of Education member, notable as one of Georgia's youngest elected Hispanic officials.
