Jason Sandholdt is currently the Incumbent Sheriff of Marion County, Iowa, with his term extending until 2028. He also serves as the President of the Iowa Sheriff's and Deputies Association. Sandholdt is a committed advocate for mental healthcare, having previously worked to rally political support for these issues. He has collaborated with Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate to raise awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, promoting resources for survivors and the state's Safe at Home program. A Republican, he is running for election to represent District 37 in the Iowa House of Representatives, participating in the primary scheduled for June 2, 2026.
