Jason Waller is the current District Attorney for Johnston County, having been appointed to the position in July 2025 following the retirement of Susan Doyle. He has over 19 years of prosecutorial experience. His career began in 2006 as an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County. In 2018, he joined the Johnston County District Attorney's Office and was later promoted to Senior Assistant District Attorney. Waller earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He is a native of Beulaville in Duplin County and resides in Clayton with his wife and three children.
