Jeffrey Crisco

Jeff Crisco is the incumbent Sheriff of Stanly County, first elected in 2018 and reelected in 2022. Prior to becoming sheriff, he worked as a detective and narcotics investigator for the Stanly County Sheriff's Office. His law enforcement career spans approximately 18 years in Stanly County, where he has worked for police departments in Albemarle, Locust, Stanfield, and Oakboro. He also has about seven years of experience working overseas, providing security for foreign diplomats. In December 2022, Crisco was appointed as a commissioner on the North Carolina Sheriffs' Education and Training Standards Commission, which governs certification programs for justice officers in sheriffs' offices.
