Jeffrey Prang

Jeffrey Prang was elected as the Los Angeles County Assessor in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018 and 2022. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Warren, Michigan. He graduated from James Madison College at Michigan State University with a degree in International Relations. In 2004, he completed the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at the Harvard Kennedy School. Before becoming Assessor, Prang served for nearly 18 years on the West Hollywood City Council, including four terms as Mayor. His earlier career includes roles as an assistant city manager for Pico Rivera and a special assistant to a previous County Assessor.
