Jennifer Capps Balkcom

Jennifer Capps Balkcom is a lifelong resident of Henderson County, North Carolina. She is a small business owner and has over 20 years of experience as a mortgage banking professional. Balkcom earned an associate's degree in business administration, banking, and finance from Blue Ridge Community College. Her community involvement includes serving as vice president of the Hendersonville Women's Club and the Hendersonville Lions Club, and as treasurer of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Western North Carolina. She has also served on the boards of the Henderson County Education Foundation, the Advent Health Foundation, and the Henderson County Planning Board. She was first elected to the state House in 2022 and assumed office on January 1, 2023.
