Jennifer Harjehausen has been a resident of Covington for over 20 years. She was elected to the City Council in November 2019 and was previously named the City's Citizen of the Year in 2018 for her extensive community involvement. Her volunteer work includes serving as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Priority Advisory Committee and serving on the city's Arts and Planning Commissions. She graduated with honors from the University of California - Santa Cruz with degrees in Marine Biology and Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology and works as a Global Director of Project Management at a clinical laboratory.
