A Covington resident for over 20 years, Jennifer Harjehausen was appointed to the City Council in April 2019 and elected in November 2019. She works as the Global Director of Project Management at a clinical laboratory. She graduated with honors from the University of California - Santa Cruz with degrees in both Marine Biology and Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology. Her community involvement includes serving as Chair of Covington's Parks and Recreation Priority Advisory Committee, and on the city's Arts and Planning Commissions. She was named the City's Citizen of the Year in 2018.
