Jennifer "Rita" Harris is a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 44. Born in Queens, New York, she moved to Florida in 2002. She attended Phoenix College and Valencia College. Before her election to the state legislature in 2022, Harris worked as an activist, founding the Democratic Women's Club of South Orange County and serving as vice-chair of the Orange County Democratic Party. She currently resides in Orlando with her family.
