After college, he returned to Grays Harbor in 2020 to work for Grays Harbor County Public Health, focusing on the COVID-19 pandemic response and later on programs related to mental health and substance use. He previously ran for Grays Harbor County Commissioner in 2024 as a member of the Democratic Party.
