Jessica Lopez-Walker

Jessica Lopez-Walker is a Democratic candidate for Iowa House District 2 in the 2026 primary. Originally from Des Moines, she has lived in Sioux City for over two decades with her husband and five children. A member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, she holds a psychology degree and is an instructor at Little Priest Tribal College and Winnebago for Ho-Chunk Renaissance. Her community involvement includes co-facilitating the Memorial March for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Children and board service for Siouxland Human Investment Partnership. Lopez-Walker, who previously ran for this seat in 2024, campaigns as "A fierce advocate for all," prioritizing affordable housing, healthcare, and small business development.
