Jessica McClay is a lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre. She earned a bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University and worked as a workers' compensation claims adjuster. McClay served on the city's Planning Commission, Fire/Civil Service Commission, and Traffic Committee before being elected to the Wilkes-Barre City Council in 2024, where she currently serves as Council President. She is running as a Democratic candidate for the 121st District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
