Jessy Mejia Terry is a candidate for the Democratic Central Committee in Maryland's Legislative District 21. A native of El Salvador, she earned a degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. Mejia Terry brings extensive experience in public service, currently serving as the Latino Liaison for the Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships. She previously worked as the Administrative Director for the Governor's Commissions on Hispanic and Caribbean Affairs under Martin O'Malley. As a legislative staffer, she helped create a domestic worker's bill of rights. She has also worked as an independent political consultant.
