Jim Boyd is a Republican politician and the incumbent Florida State Senator representing District 20, which includes parts of Manatee and Hillsborough counties. Before his election to the State Senate in 2020, Boyd served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and on the Palmetto City Council. He currently serves as the Republican Majority Leader in the Florida Senate. Outside of his political career, Boyd has a professional background working in insurance and investments.
