Jim Dunnigan

Jim Dunnigan, a Republican and University of Utah alumnus from Salt Lake City, has served in the Utah House of Representatives since 2003, currently representing District 36. A small business owner, he advocates for local control in education, fewer regulations, and lower taxes to stimulate the economy, opposing new food, gas, and property taxes. Dunnigan champions states’ rights, government transparency, and consumer protection, sponsoring legislation against predatory lending. He previously served as Majority Leader and Speaker pro tempore.
