Jim Grego

Jim Grego, a Republican, serves as the State Representative for Oklahoma's 17th District, having first assumed office in 2018. Born in McAlester and raised on a farm in Latimer County, he earned an animal science degree from Oklahoma State University. Before his legislative career, Grego worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, served as a postmaster, and owned a cattle farm. He has a long history of community service, including chairing the Latimer County Conservation District and West End Fire Department. As a legislator, he has held leadership roles like Assistant Majority Whip and chaired the A&B Natural Resources Subcommittee, focusing on issues related to agriculture, energy, and transportation.
