Joan Meschino (D-Hull) is the State Representative for the 3rd Plymouth District (Cohasset, Hingham, and Hull), serving since January 2017. She serves on the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet and Cybersecurity, the Joint Committee on Higher Education, and the Joint Committee on Election Laws, and chairs the Roadmap Coalition advancing her 2050 Roadmap climate law. Raised in Hull, she began her legal career in criminal defense and civil rights law, later worked as a health law attorney, and served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice. She served two terms as a Hull Selectman and holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard and a law degree from the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law.
