Jocelyn Route is a Democratic candidate for Register of Wills in Prince George's County. She brings extensive experience in public service and mental health advocacy to her candidacy. Previously, Route served as a council member for the Town of Bladensburg. In July 2023, she was appointed to the Prince George's County Board of Education. Her professional career includes her role as a Public Health Advisor for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). As a social worker, she has focused on establishing mental health systems of care, including work for the D.C. government. Route is a two-time graduate of Howard University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Political Science and a Master of Social Work.
