Joe Deets

Joe Deets has served on the Bainbridge Island City Council for the North Ward. His professional background includes a career in finance, where he worked for a brokerage firm in Seattle and later for the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. After returning to the U.S. and settling on Bainbridge Island, he co-founded the non-profit organization Community Energy Solutions to focus on environmental issues and climate change. He holds an MBA from Seattle University and a Master of Arts in Environment and Community from Antioch University Seattle. His community service includes volunteering for the Medical Reserve Corps, the Suquamish Tribe, and serving as the former chair of the City of Bainbridge Island's Ethics Board.
