Joe DePinto is the incumbent Mayor of Yelm, first elected in 2021. He previously served on the Yelm City Council for two terms, from 2016 to 2021. A native of Yelm, he attended local schools, including Yelm High School. His professional background includes working as a staffer for Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a senior legislative aide for State Representative Paul Harris, and as a contract lobbyist. He is seeking his second and final term as Mayor.
